Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess a patient's cardiovascular health.
  • Identify medical issues and refer to appropriate services as needed.
  • Document patient medical history, medications, allergies, and other relevant information.
  • Conduct physical examinations, assessments, and treatments.
  • Administer medications, take blood samples, and insert IVs.
  • Provide support and education to families and patients.
  • Monitor and evaluate patients' conditions, completing necessary paperwork.
  • Promote professional standards of practice and conduct.
  • Observe and report symptoms or changes in patients’ conditions.
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care.
  • Manage post-operative care for heart surgery patients.
What You’ll Need:
  • Minimum of one year (fulltime) of recent clinical experience in CCU/Cardiac setting, including relevant training.
  • Experience in Australia or countries with equivalent nursing standards (e.g., Canada, UK, USA).
  • Working rights in Australia and current AHPRA Registration.
  • Current Criminal Record Check and Working with Children Check (both easily obtained).
  • Full immunisation history.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to assess, adapt, and react quickly in high-pressure situations.
