The Role: Provide essential nursing care to critically ill patients, including those with unstable health after injury, surgery, or acute phases of illness.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and monitor patients' conditions.
- Administer medications and treatments.
- Support patients throughout their recovery in the ICU.
- Perform diagnostic tests and identify changes in patient conditions.
- Provide regular updates to doctors, patients, and families.
- Respond to medical emergencies and alert appropriate healthcare professionals.
- Maintain accurate patient records and complete necessary paperwork.
- Deliver an advanced level of nursing practice and support fellow nursing staff.
- Promote professional standards of practice and conduct within a multi-disciplinary team.
- Ensure the safety of patients and staff while monitoring symptoms and reactions.
- Minimum of 1 year of recent clinical experience as an Intensive Care Nurse.
- Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent qualification.
- Work rights in Australia and current AHPRA Registration.
- Experience in Australia or countries with equivalent nursing standards (e.g., Canada, UK, Ireland, USA, Hong Kong).
- Current Criminal Record Check and Working with Children Check (both easily obtained).
- Full immunization history.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.
