Employment Type: Minimum 6 weeks , with potential for extension, which includes casual loading and shift penalties for weekends and public holidays.
The Role: Provide fundamental treatment and care for patients with injuries and illness in medical and surgical hospital environments.
Duties:
- Monitor, record and report symptoms or changes in patient’s conditions
- Maintain accurate patient records
- Administer medication and treatments to patients
- Observe for reactions or side effects
- Assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care for the patient
- Provide education to families and patients
- Discharge and admit patients
- Supervise, coordinate and work in consultation with other health care members
What You’ll Need:
- Minimum of 1 year of recent clinical experience in your specialisation.
- Work rights in Australia and current AHPRA Registration.
- Experience in Australia or countries with equivalent nursing standards (e.g., Canada, UK, Ireland, USA, Hong Kong).
- Current Criminal Record Check and Working with Children Check (both easily obtained).
- Full immunisation history.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.
- Resilience in high-stress environments and sound clinical decision-making skills.
